Wedding Event Website

Context:

This website was created for my mom's wedding. After going back and forth about how to do invitations and how to get the correct information out to all the guests for this weekend, destination wedding, I proposed creating an event website. Play the video above to see the full interactive website.

Challenge:

Getting invitations for RSVPing, information about events during the weekend, directions to wedding, and answering all other questions in a concise and easy way.

Solution:

Create a nice, clean website that includes all the necessary information, collects RSVPs. and keeps down paper-waste and invitation costs.

Impact:

This website served its' purpose well. It helped collect RSVPs and other information on guests. It took stress away from the wedding planning process and allowed the couple to focus on more important things. The guests had most of their questions answered, and the entire weekend schedule was available so there was no confusion among guests.

Website Features

Homepage

The homepage includes a front and center link to RSVP, including information about the date and place of the wedding. The background is California poppies symbolizing where the wedding is to take place.

Events

The schedule was put in order with all details of each event. The imagery beside it went along with each event. It was also possible to click "View Event" and see more details, if needed. I also added a feature which would automatically add the event into a guest's google calendar.

Schedule Page

Location

Underneath the information for travel time, there is an interactive Google map. When clicking on the map it opens another tab that will take you to directions for how to get to the specific location.

FAQ Page

There was a request for no gifts, however, if guests wanted to give they could donate to any of the foundations named. I inserted a hyperlink to each foundation's donation page. This made it easy for guests to learn about each cause and donate quickly, without lots of steps.

RSVP

The RSVP page was the most important one to include. I created a questionnaire, including all needed information from guests. The responses went straight to the couple's email and went to an excel sheet which kept track of every response. This was an easy way to organize responses.
